Inspired by the 1959 novel and the feature film by the same name, the musical follows the coming of age of ambitious young hustler Duddy Kravitz on the streets of 1950s Montreal. Obsessed with his grandfather's saying "A man without land is nobody," and desperate to prove himself, he risks making his name at the expense of those he loves; it all comes down to choosing what kind of man he wants to be.
